This morning, my children were loaded with teacher gifts as they left for school. It is humbling to realize how many hours of life teachers and coaches give to helping students. Many hours are spent unseen – preparing, praying, planning, working, grading, etc… The hours turn into months and on into years of faithful service. In Romans 13, the Bible says to give honor to whom honor is due, and the people who help and influence our children are such people.
"Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it." -Proverbs 3:27
My gratefulness for the people through which God blesses us causes me to desire to bless these folks as I am able. Of course, I can't tangibly give gifts to every person I love and appreciate, but I can enjoy giving to those that God gives me the means for which to do so.
If the Lord impresses you
· to give a gift,
· to do an act of service,
· to write a note,
· to pray,
you will be blessed by being a blessing.
Though I am so undeserving, God has used many people to bless me and our family through gifts, notes and prayers. It is a great thought to know God uses us to bless each other.
