God Answers Our Prayers

"God answers our prayers not because we are good, but because He is good.” -Aiden Wilson Tozer

In thankfulness to God for answering my prayer, it could be that my praying was a drawing - a drawing nearer to God.

My prayer was a continual acknowledgment of trust in God, or rather a repeated surrending to whatever God willed.

I tell God the desires of my heart while adding "Thy will be done." Knowing that my will lacks His perfect wisdom, my fervent prayer is a growing acceptance of whatever changes He makes.

Ultimately, my prayer offering is welcoming God to change my will, my desires, and my thinking to match His perfect will.

Romans 12:2 KJV

"...be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Praying is a way of communicating my heart with God. True communication is reciprocal - talking AND listening.

Praying brings my heart closer to God's.

Praying teaches me more about God's ways.

Praying aligns me with God's timetable versus my own.

Praying acknowledges that God is the One Who performs His mighty works -  the big needs and desires as well as the seemingly petty annoyances we go to Him about.

It's an incredible thought to know the great Creator God of the whole universe desires me to tell Him my heart. He hears me. He answers me. He blesses me far beyond what I could think best for myself or for the ones I love.

Ephesians 3:20-21 KJV

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen."
