Do You Want Directions?

Psalm 119:105 -Karie Lerch

We cannot always see what's around the corner or at the end of a physical road. There are twists and turns, ups and downs, trees, mountains, and such. How do we navigate these unseen roads? We use a paper map or a GPS that offers live and global directions. As our physical travels, so are the spiritual journeys we take. When we cannot see the destination of a decision or the outcome of a circumstance, we have the perfect printed Map to guide us. Our spiritual GPS is alive and always accessible to speak Truth. Just like a driving map, we have a choices: Do we want to look at the map? Do we want to follow it? Do we want to find our own way? Just like a Global Positions System, we have choices: Do we want to turn the power on? Is it quiet enough for us to hear God's voice above life's noise? Will we have a better route to take since it appears to be a road we do not want to go down?

“Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.” -Psalm 119:35

“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” –Psalm 16:11
