Have you ever experienced heartache of the deepest sort and simultaneously, God reminded you that He knows and cares through the kindness of unexpected people?
Not just by one person, but by 3 different ones??? This happened to me today. Three ladies were instrumental in showing me God's loving care today in tangible ways.
In the rollercoaster of tears (or no more tears left to cry,) remember there is joy and peace in knowing these facts about God:
• God hears me,
• God sees me,
• God keeps His promises to me, and
• God has respect/compassion for me.
The last two verses in Exodus 2 finished up our ladies' Bible lesson this morning at church. The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob - is the God of me! I hope you know Him as your God.
“And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them." - Exodus 2:24-25 KJV
All three of the ladies who blessed me have suffered great heartache in life.
None of the three knew the depth or details of my current heartaches.
All three gifts of kindness required preparation and time - intentionality.
Their intentions of blessing were fulfilled, and their lives were an extension of God's sweet, loving hands full of good gifts.
The LORD is good and gracious.
How has He shown you a ray of His love in a dark moment or maybe just on a cloudy day?
Is there a specific way you enjoy encouraging others when the Holy Spirit prompts you?
I'm so thankful for the God of Exodus 2 Who is the God of 2023. ~jlw
