•My Mom.
A year ago, she was very frail due to injury, Covid, and unbearable grief. Up until Aug. 16, 2021 - their 54th wedding anniversary, Dad was "always there" for Mom - protecting her, loving her, helping her, looking out for her, providing for her, annoying her, and making her laugh. Even that last day communicating via FaceTime, he was making her laugh while he was so sick in the hospital. (Remember... Covid restrictions. No visitors allowed... I still struggle with "what if" all the family had been allowed to see him...Lord, please help me.)
• My Mom.
Life has been turned upside down and inside out for her since Dad went to Heaven. Thankfully, she and all my family members recovered. Life will never be the same for any of us, but especially for Mom.
• My Mom.
She has struggles as anyone would who has said "goodbye for awhile" to one who loved with all his being. Yet, her faith in God has grown stronger,cand she is continually seeking ways to be a blessing even in the midst of a broken heart. She has always blessed others, but, no doubt, it takes a courage from God to keep on doing so without Dad. That's just what they both did.
• My Mom.
She's the mother of sons whom I've seen doing things for her that Dad would do as they are able. He would be so proud of them. I am.
• My Mom.
Prayer is a necessity, for only God can change and move and work. Believe me, prayers have been spoken, cried, and groaned this past year. When any has a heartache, Mom feels it too. She keeps her hope in God.
• My Mom.
There are so many ideas in her head of things to create or cook... what a lady! She should write a cookbook but she's too busy actually cooking! She's the best!
• My Mom.
We children are so proud of her and Dad still is.
• My Mom.
When I'm there or she's here, it's usually busy. When it's time to say bye, living miles apart gets harder. She is a constant support in my life, and fills my life with unnecessary blessings.

I love her and miss her already.
