Resting in the Music Room
Over the holidays, the music room was gloriously busy and loud with family. From serious practice to just playing around, music brought joy, comfort, and peace.
The music room became quiet for a few moments while everyone was out doing different activities away from the house. Within the brief moments of solitude, my thoughts and emotions ran the gamut of thankfulness to catching my breath to missing my people.
My heart finally settled on savoring the memories of these recent days and holding fast to hope of a coming day when there will be no more goodbyes. We will sing together in the grandest choir of all - Heaven's choir! With perfect harmony, there will be no more need for sound engineers and key transposition to match our human voice ranges.
In these truths, I can rest and have hope... while my music room is quiet.
