When my father passed away, I became keenly aware of the loving, secure, father-daughter relationship that I no longer had on this earth. Grief became a recognizable companion in my life. As I began to explore the facets and layers of grief, I realized I shared deep “daughter grief” with many women – even though their stories looked different from mine. Difficult, disconnected, or deserted relationships also carry grief of loss that lingers for a lifetime. In every form of father-loss, there is also everlasting joy available in relationship with our Heavenly Father.
By faith and in obedience to the Lord’s calling, I am writing a book about this grief that we as daughters experience through father- loss. I have created a completely anonymous poll for adult daughters to help me write with greater depth and understanding.
Would you be willing to complete the short 3-question poll for adult daughters (blue, green, and yellow boxes) by choosing the responses that come closest to your experience?
Would you also consider sharing this post with other women who might be willing to complete the poll for adult daughters as well?
Lastly, would you please pray for me as write - that this book would help someone and bring glory to God?
Thank you for your time and input! I will share the results with you in a future post.
