Failure & Christian Living

Our greatest failure is the failure to learn from our failures.

Our greatest failure in learning is the failure to live what we have learned.

Our greatest failure in living what we have learned is the failure to discipline ourselves to continue living what we have learned.

The life lived truly like Christ [“the Christian life”] requires dedicated effort and regular communication just as any successful relationship does.

"The Christian life" is just that: a life – not a list.

A list of "do' and don'ts" involves merely our own effort and has no need of communication with the Holy Spirit.

A life involves flow of blood, water and air. We are given Life through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit then lives in us. We decide whether or not to make the effort to free the Holy Spirit to blow through us (control us). The only way we can daily [consistently] give Him the control is to draw out [our effort] the Water of the Word (read our Bibles) and communicate (talk/pray) with our Creator and Savior. Only then, will we have the power to truly live like Christ [“the Christian life”].

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God." – Micah 6:8

Blessings, Jeri Lynn
