Fill My Cup, Lord

Fill my cup with gratitude deep For all blessings come from Thee. Every good and perfect gift, And even trials Thou hast for me.

Fill my cup with peace, sweet peace, Existent only by Thy Spirit; Resting, trusting, sometimes waiting When unanswered prayer is indefinite.

Fill my cup with Heavenly wisdom As I face decisions each day; Hungering, seeking Thy precious Word To learn and live Thy way.

Fill my cup with ideas and dreams. I want to use my gifts for Thee: The gifts wrapped up in one single person Fearfully and wonderfully fashioned -me.

Fill my cup with a life of purpose, Dedicated to declaring Thy glory; Not only speaking, but also living The Gospel Truth – not just a story.

Fill my cup with Thy ever-abiding presence: Thy Words, my comfort; our fellowship, sweet; Pouring out my complaint or worshipping Thee, Interceding, or sitting and resting at Thy feet.

Fill my cup with much needed grace Measured and given by Thy hand. In great loss or in the daily grind, With Thee, I can’t give up; I can stand!

Fill my cup with tender gentleness By a softened eye, a listening ear, A pat on the shoulder, a kind word given, A quiet confidence that calms others’ fear.

Fill my cup with longed for endurance When the race gets hard and long. In my constant juggle of tiring tasks, help me Wait on Thee, take courage, and be strong.

Fill my cup with a heart of hope When discouragement may turn to despair. Envelope me in Thy perfect love, And to Thee, may I release all my cares.

Fill my cup with meekness and mercy. Poor and needy; of sinners, I am chief. Most everyone I come in contact with Has experienced some form of grief.

Fill my cup with fullness of joy; No one can rob me of Thee! If I lost everything and all whom I love, Thou art real and live inside me.

Fill my cup with Holy quiet Amidst the day of hurry and loud noise. In awe of how great Thou art, Help me recognize nature’s simple joys.

Fill my cup with faith to believe Thy power can effect “impossible” change. Since I cannot see it, prove it, or do it, My faith to the world appears strange.

Fill my cup with beautiful music – Songs to worship my great King! Simple in melody; rich in harmony; Honor and praise to Thee I bring.

Fill my cup with unfeigned love: Thy pure love to others show; With untainted motive and action applied That Thy name the earth may know.

in believing, that ye may abound in hope,

through the power of the Holy Ghost."
